In 2023, Virgin Mobile Middle East and Africa was acquired by Beyond ONE, a digital services provider dedicated to delivering hyper-customized digital experiences. This acquisition aims to enhance customers' lives and foster a more inclusive, vibrant, and connected world for everyone.
Virgin Mobile MEA approached uSoftware with a request for a BOT model team comprising 1 Data Engineer and 1 Data Scientist. The goal was to enhance their internal team by integrating specialized expertise to drive efficiency and achieve their technical objectives.
Problem
Virgin Mobile needed to build a robust Customer Value Management (CVM) data operation. However, they faced challenges in efficiently sourcing the required expertise and effectively applying developed data models, particularly during the disruptive COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Solution
Starting in October 2019, uSoftware partnered with Virgin Mobile to assemble a specialized Data Science team dedicated to initiating the CVM data operation. Despite significant challenges in applying the models during the pandemic, the team's concerted efforts resulted in the development and implementation of effective data models.
Result
The implementation of these data models produced remarkable results:
- 3.12x growth in CVM revenue from Q1 2021 to Q2 2022
- 2.2x growth in CVM revenue from Q2 2021 to Q2 2022
